if i served someone with asupeona and the case was continued, is that supeona still in force?

only if the order continuing the matter also continued the subpoenas.

Not unless the order says that the subpoena is entered and continued to the new date.

Counsel are correct, unless the order continues the subpoenas, you will have to reissue.
