Tubal ligation syndrome

15 month ago I had a tubal ligation (TL) at a time of my C-section. I was told that it's absolutely safe and there are no side effects. After I stopped breastfeeding and my monthly cycles returned I started to have terrible pains in my pelvic while sitting at work, lifting the baby, leaning forward. The ultrasound showed a small cyst on one side but it hurts everywhere below the navel. The doctors say it has nothing to do with TL but they avoid an eye contact and try to avoid me and admit me in the office when everyone else is left. They also do not want to investigate why I started to have all of this now. I also completely lost sex drive and hadn't have sex since I gave birth. I was absolutely healthy in this area before the procedure. My only hope to regain some of my previous health is to do a tubal reversal (TR). At the time of TL I was unaware that TR is not covered by any insurance. Can I file a lawsuit against the doctors and make them pay my expences? I also realizied that it's kind of conspiracy against us women to not to admit that there are side effects of TL. So please let me know what my chances are. I also plan to file a complaint to the doctor's licensing department. Thanks a lot.

You may have a case of malpractice. However, your particular case must first be investigated because the Illinois Law requires that ALL medical malpractice complaints be filed along an affidavit from a qualified doctor opining that after having reviewed the entire medical record, that there has been a violation of the standard of care in the community in which your doctor operates. ONLY then can a complaint be filed and not get dismissed out of hand.
