Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Turn Over Orders

I have received a judgement for comissions due to me from a former employer. His appeal was denied and a 'Turn Over Order' was signed by the judge. I have the money that is owed being held by the defendants bank. I took the bank a copy of the signed order. How long does the bank have to turn over the funds and what do I do if they don't comply?

Re: Turn Over Orders

In most cases the bank will turn the funds over in 7-10 business days. If they do not turn the funds over at all then you can file a motion for sanctions or conditional judgment against the bank.
