A mechanic agreed to payment arrangements for his services. The first payment was made on time and we both got reciepts. The following week I was tricked into giving him the vehicle to look at another problem, he said he would return it in an hour or so. After a few hours calls and tells me he's not comfortable with payment arrangements anymore and he's keeping it until paid in full. I would never have agreed to him performing the service had he said from the beginning. Police said it was civil matter. I tried to explain to the mechanic we had already had a contract for weekly payments and felt this was illegal
