Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
Wedding Pictures
Friends took pictures of the wedding. They knew I was looking for a photographer and offered to do it for free. A day after the wedding, there was an arguement and now the pictures were given to me on a disc and ruined. Is there anything I can do to get the pictures?

Re: Wedding Pictures
thank you for your question. It seems to me that there was an unequivoval gift of the pictures. If the disk was ruined by the photographer, you may be able to obtain another set from them. If ruined by someone else, I do not see any legal grounds for requiring the photographer to give you additional copies. I suggest that the common sense way to handle this is to talk with the photographer, resolve your difference and get additional copies from him or her.
