Legal Question in Health Care Law in Illinois
I am 63 year old female. My 45 year old daughter and I live together and she files head of household. She has a good income. I am low income. We do not own the home. I have large medical bill and make $200 monthly payments on it. My question is, can action be taken on my daughter to hold her responsible for it in any way? Thank you, Linda

As long as she is not a guarantor of any kind on your bills, you are both adults and are normally supposed to be treated separately. However, there can always be an exception if your daughter has allowed herself to become a "guarantor" and that can vary with circumstance. If you have a specific concern about a specific bill or bills, you should talk to an attorney.
