Legal Question in Health Care Law in Illinois
Delayed Invoice
I had surgery three years ago. I have just now received a bill from one of the doctors associated with this. I had no idea I owed anything and have not previously received any correspondence from them. Can they really charge me for something three years later?

Re: Delayed Invoice
Hello. I can imagine your surprise at receiving a medical bill for treatment so long ago. I suggests that you demand in writing an explanation for the delay and demand written proof that the physician has not already been paid. It is best that you get legal representation to start communicating with the physician. Will be happy to answer any additional questions that you may have.
