Legal Question in Health Care Law in Illinois
PPO Discount after Plan Max Met
Ihave met my annual maximum benefit on my healthcare plan, and must pay all bills myself. My insurer no longer indicates the discount amounts per ppo contracts they have with providers. I feel as a paying insured subscriber, the fact that my maximum benefit has been met does not cancel my right to discounts. The insurer has not provided me with any contract language that supports their position on this. Please comment.

Re: PPO Discount after Plan Max Met
The insurer should indicate the discount amounts. In my opinion, the insurer's failure to do this breaches
its agreement with you and constitutes
plain bad business. It knows better!
I will be happy to discuss this matter
with you further. I will have additional comments.
Re: PPO Discount after Plan Max Met
The discount depends on the exact terms of your agreement. However, in my experience, you should continue to receive the contract discounts.
