Legal Question in Health Care Law in Illinois
I was quoted a fee from a local Dentist for the cost of having a full set of dentures. I have started a small business two years ago, and I have no insurance, I actually cried in the dental chair explaining this to my Dentist, that I was unable to afford this procedure. It would wreck me finacially. He calmed me down, and quote/unquote......said...."Let me work my magic, I can do this for $2500.00."
I discussed this matter with him and replied I could swing that amount. I am up to $5640.00 in charges, and he wanted another $1200.00 to complete the work. I found another Dentist to finish the procedure for $360.00, along with fixing my dentures to properly fit me. They had to cut off over a quater of an inch to make them fit. They were amazed that I wore these dentures for as long as I did being miserable. Is there anything I can do to get any of my money back for this "lie" of a quote and billing that has been charged to me?

You may want to have an attorney write you a "Demand Letter" and see where things go.
