how maney years do you have to take i collage to become a lawyer?

You have to finish four years of college and then three years of law school (as a general rule).
You then must take a state specific test called the "bar exam" and when you pass the test you will be admitted to the "bar" as an attorney, (assuming you have a clean criminal background and are otherwise qualified).
There will always be a high demand for well qualified attorneys.
