Legal Question in Health Care Law in Illinois

I have =successsfully secured a form called "Durable Power of Attorney" which catered to my legal needs because my husband is battling dementia. It was legally notarized and witnessed. Is this document stately acceptable immediately or do I have to approached a lawyer for further legal action.

Hi Susan, generally a Durable Power of Attorney usually is legally valid as soon as it is properly executed, (signed, proper witness, notary, etc). Other times, it is legally valid according to the a date specified in the document. I do strongly recommend you get your documents reviewed by a lawyer, just make sure you didn't miss anything.
