Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois
How is my absence is going to delay naturalization?
I am permanent resident.
I've been out of the U.S in total, for 7 months and 1 week.
Does this means, that my naturalization is going to delay for 1 month and 1 week?

Re: How is my absence is going to delay naturalization?
If you are a permanent residence without any special conditions, then you must be in continuous residence for 5 years. If you leave the US for more then six months but less then a year then you have disrupted your permenanet residence, unless you can prove otherwise.
If you would like to discuss this matter in greater detail please call me. I can also help you in completing your naturalization forms.
