My addoptive son is a illegal alien even though his mother left me can i still be his petioner?
He was 16 yrs old when i adopted him hes my adopted son he was 15 when i married his mother
He is now 18 yrs old and he did not enter the country with a visa

If you are a US citizen or green card holder, you might be able to petition your adotped son if you meet certain requirements. If your adoptive son has 245 (i) protection, he might apply for green card in the U.S.. If not, he would need to go back to his home country.
