B2 visa to student visa

hello,i am currently on a tourist visa(B2).i do wish to study here.is it possible to change my status from B2 to that of a student while remaining ?

Yes, you may apply for a change of status to F-1 student with the appropriate I-20 from an accepting institution along with other required supporting documents.
