E2 visa

hi, my question is that i came in usa on b1/b2 visa and i change it here on e2 business, since then i have not travel out side usa .

i want to travel and come back to usa but my lawer says that i have to go in embassy in my country to get this visa on my passport .but iam not sure weather i will get this or not ,so pls give me any advise if you can.

Dear Inquirer:

Since you are operating a business in the US, E-2 is the appropriate visa category for you. If you leave, you will be required to apply for and obtain an E-2 visa at the US Embassy in your home country to use when you return to the US.
