hello i am an american citizen mi fiance and i met over 2 years ago i'm currently pregnat he has been in the us illegally but he left the country for family related problems,i want to bring him back to get married and before i'm do can i used the k-1 visa to bring him back,how long would it take,around how much would it cost.thank you very much.

You'll need to have met him within the last 2 years. Additionally, the process will depend on how long he was illegal in the U.S.

Dear Inquirer:

You may be able to bring him back on a fiance visa as long as he was not "unlawfully present" in the US for more than 6 months before he departed. If he was unlawfully present for more than 6 months, he will be deemed inadmissible to the US for at least three years. This provision may be waived if the visa applicant can show that refusal of his admission would result in "extreme hardship" to his US Citizen or permanent resident spouse or parent.
