Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois

My fiance got arrested 3 months ago for a DUI and posession of cocaine. I'm not sure of the amount but it was not alot. The judge gave him probation and classes which he has been going to. He has not violated his probation in any way. 5 days ago ICE went to his house and arrested him. Now one lawyer is saying he will be mandatoraly deported because of the drug charge even though I am a US citizen born here and we will get married. We also have a 4 month old baby. I want to know if the situation is hopeless or there's a chance he can stay. Thank you.

If he is being deported, your marriage is suspect. I would not help him, and I would not marry him, without seeing an immigration attorney and discussing all of the ramifications.
