Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois

filing form 1-130

My wife entered the US with a tourist visa and we got married.I am a green card holder.Question 22 on the form (1-130) sounds confusing. If i fill in yes in response to the question asking if she will adjust her status in the US,will the relative petition be denied?though i want her to remain here in the US.

You'll be filing the I-130, I-485, I-765, I-864, I-765, G-325 for beneficiary and petitioner, and WR-703 all together for your adjustment of status.

Re: filing form 1-130

I don't recommend that you ask single questions about forms here and there. It's in your best interest to only ask questions of a lawyer that knows your entire case. Your wife may be able to adjust here status here but you don't mention how she will be staying here in the interim or whether she plans to stay illegally. This is important information and giving you a yes or no answer without understanding your case would be a mistake for any attorney. This is your wife's immigration and it's important. If you make one mistake the damage control could be 10 times a pain than just preparing the initial paperwork. Feel free to call me if you'd at least like an initial consultation and you'll get quite a bit of information within that short time.
