Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois

immigration-Federal Inmate

My daughters father is in jail as a federal inmate..he is here illegally from Mexico...The jail in Illinois will not give me any information except that he is there...no court dates, no charges, his physical condition, nothing...is there anything I can do to help him, to get some information, to know he is being treated humanely??

I realize being here illegally is a crime, but the man was just trying to visit his child, who misses him terribly...and now he is a federal inmate??

We have murderers and terrorists running around this country and the gov't is putting people like him in jail...Yikes!! Thank you for any help or info.

You really need an immigration attorney to help you navigate - but be on notice that as a non-citizen, he is afforded hardly any of the rights U.S. citizens have.
