Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois
Immmigration law question
My husband has a green card, but I have overstayed my visa and currently don't have status in the coountry. We are expecting a baby and would like to invite my mother from Bulgaria to come stay with us. Is this possible, and is it doing to affect our situation? Thanks!

Re: Immmigration law question
If you do not have a valid status in the USA, your mother will not get a visa. Furthermore, disclosure of your adress and status may result in your deportation. If you have overstayed your visa for less than 6 months, you should go back and try to get a visa. If you overstayed your visa for more than 6 month, you should consult an attorney about possible ways of legalization.
