Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois
In response to the attorney's question, my husband was originally deported for a domestic violance case that his previous girlfriend brought up, we hired an attorney, whom we paid $2500 and told us he could beat the case because there was no proof and that my husband wouldn't do any time or be deported, which he ended up doing 2 months in the county jail and deported a month after back to his country, in other words we were robbed and now he has a record for life, is there anything we can do about this?

If you are a US citizen or green card holder, you might petitione your husband. He also needs to file an I-601 waiver application since domestic violence is a crime involving moral turpitude. We suggest you to consult with an immigration attorney.
