When I get my temporary greencard and My permit to travel , how long can I stay abroad?

As with either conditional or permanent U.S. Residency, one can be outside the United States for up to 179 days without needing a Re-Entry Permit. If you plan on being outside the country longer than that, you will need to apply for one (Form I-131).
