transfer of H1B

I am working as a visiting research scientist on a H1B at a university.

If I get a job in an industry as a Research Engineer, would I be able to transfer my H1B to the industry?

Re: transfer of H1B

Yes, you may apply for change of employer. Procedurally, they would be filing a separate H1-B petition on your behalf involving much of the same paperwork and preparation done for your first H1-B.
