Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois
Writ of Mandamus -Initial status hearing
Hi,
I filed Writ of Mandamus civil lawsuit (ProSe) against USCIS based on unreasonable delay (more than 4 years) in adjudication of family-based (U.S.citizen spouse) Adjustment of Status application. I looking for the advice (or link to the feredal rules) how to present your case in the initial pre-trial conference . Thank you.

Re: Writ of Mandamus -Initial status hearing
I would need to look at this more carefully. But clearly family unification is an important consideration in immigration law and international law. This amount of time is very excessive. If the government has some reason to not admit your spouse they should decide against admitting her rather than let this go on forever.
