Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois

Auto Accident and insurance claim

I was in car accident on 01/13

swirved to miss a deer hit concrete imbankment, told insurance that. They asked where was I comming from I said gas station, and because it happened at 1:00 a.m. in the morning they asked where was I before that and dummy me said a club and had two beers in 2 hours, asked if bartender would know me, I said no. Was that a stupid mistake or what. I was issured a ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and I did have to go to emergency room. And more than likely the car is totaled. Because of my mistake of telling them about going to the club, would they not have to pay anything on the accident. We have full coverage. And I wasnt cited for drinking. So is insurance still gonna pick up the claim?

2007 toyota yaris 4,500 miles, I was only one in car. Did I screw up by telling? Will they still pay?

Re: Auto Accident and insurance claim

Hello. Telling the truth is the right thing to do. I predict that the insurance company will want you to participate in a fact gathering meeting. This is the insurance company's way of determining what claims it will challenge. You should have an attorney present. In fact,

even at this stage, an attorney would be of great assistance to you to let

the insurance company know that you will fight any attempt by the company to disallow your claim. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
