Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois
Car Accident
A car hit me on Friday while I was on my bike. I am homeless and now I cannot get a job because she injured my foot. How do I go about getting compensation from her insurance company, including compensation for not being able to work anymore?

Re: Car Accident
Sorry to hear about your injury.
You can obtain compensation
by filing a claim with the driver's
insurer. Compensation would be
based on the fault of the driver,
your medical expenses, wage loss,
pain, disability and disfigurement
if any. You must have documented
medical treatment with a doctor
who can verify the nature and
extent of your injury.
