Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois
Collections Agency Hired By Insurance Company
Why would an isurance agency hire a colelction agency when there was no prior contact with me at no time to ever settle any issue. There was incident 7/20/2003 by me of fender bender which resulted in me settling with the other person and now she had filed a claim with this insurace company without my acknowlegement. As result they paid out claim to her they say. Now they are trying to recoup the monies they paid out to her. We presented this information to them and they had no time nor her contacted our insurance company.

If you received a release you shouldn't have a problem. If you didn't you have a problem.
