Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois
insurance
I had a vehicle stolen
apparently the payment for my insurance was received the same day the vehicle was reported stolen. So according to the insurance company my insurance was lapsed.
The insurance company is denying my claim. Do I have any recourse

Re: insurance
Hello. In my opinion, you certainly do have a
claim. Its silly for the insurance company
to take such a position. It is a common practice
for insurance companies to send a "lapse"
notice just prior to the lapse of an insurance
policy. Clearly the insurance company is not
acting in good faith. I will be happy to discuss
this with you further. If your vehicle was still
be financed, you have a real financial problem
depending upon the amount you may still owe.
