Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois
Retirement Life Insurance Benefit Payout
Our dad retired in '82. He just died 10/2007. We have papers showing payout should be $70,000 because he lived past 75 yrs old. Company saying change made to policy by them and only $10,000 will be paid. Do they have the right to do that. This change was recently made and my dad thought they couldn't do that. Please help.
