Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Illinois
In performing some research here in this small Illinois county i have discovered some land patents.I have contacted the Bureau Of Land Management about theses documents. They have advised me that the documents are real and can not be sold out of the family. The land was stolen from the legal owners several years ago. This county is getting six coal mines and the children of the fathers that stole the land are tring to steal the coal minerals. Can the land and minerals that has a land patent document on it and signed by the President Of The United States be taken away from the families? Im considering an attorney in the future.
