Legal Question in Investment Law in Illinois
Investment fees
13 yrs ago, my husband died and left life ins. which I had immediately placed with Financial Planning Advisors. I was under the understanding that I was paying 1% fee for his services + 0.25% for invoice serv. I sat down with another agent last night and was shown I've been paying excess of 6% or more in fees and penalties. Is there anyone out there who can check into this for me. I've trusted this man to manage this but now realize he may have been taking advantage of me.

Re: Investment fees
Unfortunately, this sort of thing happens quite frequently. I practice the in securities area and have brought many successful cases against advisors. I would be happy to review your situation.
