Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
I found an employee sleeping today on premises. Our policy states, "no sleeping while on duty". She argued that she was on her break, which is unpaid therefore she should be allowed to take a nap. Do I have the right to discipline her?

Having admitted that your rule is is for "on duty" employees, if you believe she was on break then NO, not for breaking that "on duty" rule.
