Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

My girlfriend was recently terminated from her part time job at a car dealership. The owner of the dealership informed her that he had evidence of her not doing sufficient work and of pushing her coworker in front of a car. When Dominique, my girlfriend, asked to see such evidence the owner said that she didn't have the right to and would not provide proof of any wrongdoing. Does she have a wrongful termination suit? Both her and her coworker, who was also fired, are the only two young African American teens working at the dealership and we feel that discrimination may be involved.
