Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Harassment in the workplace

Are there any jurisdictional adjustments when a worker is employed by a federal government agency such as the Postal Service? Does the same laws that apply to other workers within the State of Illinois? My question is; does a federal government agency have exempt status from human Rights Commision?

Yes, all employers are subject to the laws of the U.S. Federal employees also can look to the Department of Labor and unions to help with any issues that may arise. Please be aware that there are strict time limitations usually from 6 months to a year in various jurisdictions (but can vary) You need to see an attorney immediately to establish those time lines and whether you have a case.
