Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Is it illegal to work two full time jobs at the same time if it is not a competitor and there is no non-compete agreement as part of the equation? This question comes with the understanding that internal company policy might have language representing its disagreement with "day lighting". In the context of U.S law is this illegal?

It is legal to work two full tme jobs, but it is also legal for either company to fire you for doing that. The usual grounds would be that you are too tired from the other job to do your job. There may be company policy prohibiting a second job, which sounds like your situation. You are probably an "at will" employee, which means either company can fire you "at will" so long as they do not violate law (discrimination, etc.) In current economic time double jobs are all too common. I hope you are able to stop doing that for your own health and sanity.
