Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
non compete agreement enforceable, even if expred
I was under non compete agreement for Chicago IT Staffing company. When my contract expired, I was never asked to sign another. However I continued to work for them.
They eliminated my position in August, I moved on.
They are now threatening me with legal action, to enforce a contract which expired 2-07.
Would a court uphold an expired contract?

We routinely handle these cases all of the time. It depends upon the language of the agreement and the industry. Kindly provide me with your contact info via e-mail upon receipt of this response so that we can discuss in greater detail.
