Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Overtime

I've been working over 40 hours per week for 10 years. I do receive a salary, but have never been compensated for overtime. Do I qualify for overtime wages?

Re: Overtime

Quite possibly. It depends, in part, on the position you hold with your employer. Senior personnel, who direct & control their own work, are not entited to the benefits of the statute which mandates overtime protection.

What is your position with the company?

Re: Overtime

You may be entitled to overtime and back pay under the FLSA. Instead of going back and forth on this site, send me an e-mail, and I'll provide you with a brief explanation of the FLSA and a short questionnaire designed to help me determine if you have a claim. There is no fee for communicating me, and if there is a case, then there is no fee unless you recover. My e-mail is [email protected].
