Physical and verbal abuse in the work place
My boss physiaclly and verbally assaulted me, while accusing me of something that I did not do. How should I proceed?

Start by reporting it to the police.

Some of it depends upon the size of your company. If you work for a large corporation, where your boss has a boss and there is a Human Resources Department, then you would want to report your boss' behavior up the chain of command.
If, on the other hand, you work for a mom-and-pop organization, and your boss is, say, the owner, you would have no recourse within your company.
Of course, hitting you (i.e., physically abusing you, as you say) is a crime, and you could report it to the police. Also, if you have suffered any damages from the physical abuse, i.e., broken bone or something, you could sue your boss for the damages (including pain & suffering) you experienced.
