My Previous Job Owes Me Vacation Pay

Can I hire legal counsel and initiate a lawsuit against my previous employer who has failed to pay out my vacation pay balance? It has been nearly 3 months since I resigned, and I still have not received a check. I have been in contact with the HR department at the company but with minimal reply. What can I do to get this resolved?

Have an attorney draft a letter on their letterhead inquiring about the check. Litigation can be costly so determine whether the amount of vacation pay is worth the effort. If the amount is small, you can try small claims court.
