Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I recently took a pre-employment physical activities test which included a simple step test. I failed the test and they told me my heart rate was too high and maybe I should get some cardio in my life. Well, i run 3.5 - 5 miles a day and am in good shape. Better than most employees there I dare say. Any recourse?

There probably is no legal recourse, but you should discuss you specific situation with an attorney to determine if there are any important details which would affect an answer. I agree that you are in better shape than most employees. My guess as to why your heart rate was high is because you are in good shape, your body reacts more quickly to physical exertion because it is trained in what it needs to do based on your running. But, obviously this is not a medical forum, and I am not a medical doctor, so it also might be worth your while to get a check up just to be safe.
