Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Reinstatement after suspension

I was suspended from my job pending the outcome of an investigation of an incident. It was determined by an outside investigating agency that my employer was at fault and the charges against me were unfounded. Now my employer is refusing to reinstate me to my position. What can I do?

Re: Reinstatement after suspension

Do you have an employment contract or union representation? If so, the answer lies there. Without it and without knowing more facts, generally speaking, your employer has a right to fire to you for any reason or no reason at all, as long as its not in violation of an employment contract or anti-discrimination statute.
