Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
I run a small window cleaning business. I hired a guy as an "independent subcontractor" and signed a conctract with him. One of the terms is that he will not solicite my customers and of course he did. He has put his phone number on an invoice that he has left for a customer.
I would like to sue him for it because Im loosing business because of him.
I didnt pay him for last week of his work ($400) it is still nothing comparing to damage he has done to my business. Of course I received letter from his attorney asking me to pay even bigger amount althought I had to re-do some jobs after him.
Long story short - he is trying to contact my customers which he agreed not to.
What should I do?

You may want to file a "Small Claims" action against your former employee.
