Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
I am a tenure teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. I am also a union member. With the recent budget crisis I am faced with losing my current position. According to the HR department, I may lose my health benefits come June 30th. Is that legal?

Did you talk to your union rep? You are subject to a collective bargaining agreement where these things should be spelled out.
