Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
uniforms
I work with special education children out in the working community doing vocational rehabilitation and training. At one time, I was working with adults in the community, and for confidentiality reasons we were not able to wear badges in the community or identify ourselves in any way (HIPA). The organization I work for now wants staff to wear uniforms, the only difference being I am working with students under the age of 21. Am I incorrect in assuming that a uniform with logo would be the same as wearing a badge, and would be a conflict in confidentiality?

Re: uniforms
I am not aware of any regulations, law, procedures from the Department of Health and Human Services who promulgated HIPAA finding uniforms and/or badges identifying an expertise as a violation of HIPAA.
