Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I am voluntarily changing jobs, and my current employer has requested that I sign a "Termination Certification" document on my last day. Within that document are 4 paragraphs stating:

1. That I have returned all my equipment

2. That I have complied with the company's proprietary information and inventions agreement (signed when hired)

3. That I will continue to preserve as confidential all aspects of the proprietary information and inventions agreement going forward

4. That for 24 months from the date of termination I will not solicit employees and will not use confidential information to negatively influence clients from purchasing products from competitors.

Why would I sign this doc upon termination? I did not have to sign a non-solicitation or non-compete document upon hire, so regardless of my good intentions I see no reason to sign a document now. They are not withholding any money as a bribe to justify signing it either. Is there any reason I should consider signing any form of this "Termination Certification?"

if you have voluntarily resigned and your employer is not offering you adequate payment for signing such an agreement, you should not sign it.
