Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I work for a salon in Illinois. We are commision based pay. We do not make an hourly ammount. (Is that legal?). Even if I come in and work, assist, fold towels, sweep, answer phones but don't have any clients I don't get paid. (Is that legal?) Also we have mandatory classes and meetings on our days off that we do not get paid for. (Is that legal also?)
