Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

5-day Notice

If I have served a 5-day notice to my tenant and I am now ready to sue for possession, since the amount he owes me has now changed (b/c June rent is also past due), must I issue another 5-day notice with the udpated amount, or may I simply indicated the new amount owed on my 10-day notice (demand that they vacate the premises). I have a court date on 6/18 from a previous month (that they have already paid), but since I would like to keep that court date, I want to make sure I've filed the appropriate paperwork.

Re: 5-day Notice

Do a ten day notice. Make sure it is properly executed and served in order for it to be effective.
