Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
Its been 3 months since my ex-roommate moved out. She has left many large items of furniture here. I would like her to take them or I will pay her for them to settle the issue of there ownership.
I have been unable to contact her by phone.
Since her departure there has been serious arguments between me and her live-in boyfriend. I want to make contact with her but may need assistance so things don't go sideways any further.
What are my options?

If you know where she is living the best thing to do is to send her a notice by certified mail to retrieve her property within 30 days, or they will be deemed abandoned and discarded. A phone call won't protect you. If you are concerned about any contact, have a local attorney send the letter.
