Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
I had a 5 year commercial lease ending March 31st. We told lanlord/broker in Late Jan. we were not renewing contract. Landlord/managment walked through space with us on March 23rd, said it was ok, we gave back keys, he mailed security deposit,but stopped payment on April 14th, claimed there is water damage. We walked through it and there was no water damage on March 23rd. what can we do to get our security deposit back?

You may be able to sue your Landlord in small claims court if they amount is less than $10,000.
