Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
A bank is trying to evict me.
I rented an apartment from a landlord that I later found out does not own the building, can the bank that owns the building evict me without any notice? I have a one year lease.

No, they would have to give you notice and then file an eviction suit in court and have you served with the complaint.
In addition if you have been paying the "landlord" the rent money I would file suit against him to recover what you have paid him
